Year 3/4 football : file (1998.8k)

On Thursday 24th January Mr Woodruff took a team of 6 year 3/4 boys to the Sir Tom Finney Cup at Play Football. The yeam performed really well, making it out of the first group stage. Unfortunately, they finished 3rd in the next group stage and didn't quite make the next round. The boys represented school really well and had an excellent time!

We enjoyed observing and participating in an assembly held by Sensei Silvio and Sensei Katie from the ju-jitsu club. The children demonstrated some very good moves!

Welcome to our PE and sports page! This page will keep you informed about fun sporting things we are doing in school, what we're doing in PE or sporting matches and tournaments that we participate in.

It has been another busy start to the sporting year with a mixed year 5 and 6 team finishing 3rd in the Preston Hockey Premier Division. All of the children performed superbly and represented the school very well throughout. A mixed year 5 and 6 team also played very well in the tournament at Broughton High School.

A mixed year 3 and 4 team participated in the multi skills competition at Vida and finished a very respectable 12th. They were also the overall winners of one event.

The boys football team are through to the next round of the Harold Slater Shield with a hard fought 2-1 win away to Alston Lane. Great goals from Ryan Tierney and Bailey Malliband ensured our safe passage to the next round.
