More Able Provision

At Cottam Primary School, we want every pupil to succeed, flourish and achieve their full potential in a happy, nurturing environment.

We recognise that all children need both support and challenge in order to grow in confidence and make excellent progress in their learning. Our More Able pupils are no exception.

Through high-quality teaching and enriching learning experiences, we provide our More Able pupils with a wide range of stimulating opportunities that encourage them to think deeply, develop resilience and become inspired learners. We aim to nurture not only academic success, but also curiosity, creativity and a lifelong love of learning.

Our pupils are encouraged to ask thoughtful questions, explain and justify their ideas, persevere when faced with challenge, communicate confidently and take risks in their learning. We value each child as an individual and strive to create an environment where they feel supported, motivated and empowered to reach their potential.
