Asthma and Allergy Care

At Cottam, our Asthma Care Policy outlines our support for the effective care and monitoring of children with Asthma at Cottam Primary School.

Our Allergy Care Policy, outlines our support and emergency procedures for children who experience anaphylaxis while in attendance at Cottam Primary School.

Our Asthma and Allergy Care leader is Mrs K Rainford (Headteacher).

We value the support of our parents and carers in ensuring that children with asthma or allergies have the support they need to access and participate in our full curriculum.

At Cottam, we require parents and carers to provide the following:

• An inhaler - in date, clearly labelled in the prescription box.

• A spacer - clearly labelled with your child's name.

• A completed asthma action plan, outlining the required dosage and triggers for your child's asthma
