My name is Lindsay Bevan, I am a parent of a child at Cottam Primary School and I have an older child that has been through the school and is now at high school. I have been on the governing board since 2017, being a governor is a rewarding experience that allows me to positively contribute to the school. I work as a clinical practice lead with the Lancashire health visiting and school nursing team. My background working with children and their families provides me with the knowledge and skills needed to support the school in my role as early years governor.

Over the years I have worked closely with children with additional needs and support needs, this requires me to work with other members of the multidisciplinary team and has been beneficial in my role as SEND and safeguarding governor. I am pleased to work with such a dedicated team and always enjoy my visits to the school.
